A First Prize in Aix-en-Provence competition and two conservatoire entries, Lyon and Brussels

13 year old prodigy wins First Prize in the Aix-en-Provence Competition, a student enters the Lyon Conservatoire and another selected in Brussels

Kim BERNARD, aged only 13, competed against some pianists twice his age to win First Prize in the National Competition of Aix-en-Provence.

Earlier this year he won first prize in the under 17s category at the International Competition of Montrond-les-bains. In May he was awarded the “Young talent” Prize at the Maisons-Laffitte Competition. Last year, aged 12, he graduated from the Toulon conservatoire where he had been studying with Célimène DAUDET, gaining the highest distinction and the unanimous vote of the jury.

DO Trung Hieu has just succeeded in entering the Lyon conservatoire where he will be studying with Florent BOFFARD.

Elsa BLANC’s performance at the entrance contest of the Royal Brussels Conservatoire so impressed the jury that she has been fast-tracked directly to the second year at the Royal Brussels Conservatoire to study with Johan SCHMIDT. She joins Marion MAUREL who gained a place last July in the Flemish section of the same conservatoire.
